Easy-Fold and Easy-Store Step Stools have been voluntarily recalled because they can crack or break, posing a fall hazard.
To this date, the company has received nine reports of the stools crack or breaking, resulting in four injuries including contusions and ankle sprains.
The recall involves Kikkerland Easy-fold and Easy-Store step stools sold by QVC. The model numbers are ZZ09-GR and ZZ08-BR. To view pictures of the recalled stools, refer to the CPSC News Release.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled stools to prevent injury. If they were purchase at a QVC store, they can be returned to the store of purchase for a refund. Consumers who bought the stools through a QVC TV program or on QVC.com will receive refund instructions in the mail.
